ASIAN GAMES 2018: TRAMPOLINE SET A NEW HISTORY FOR THE FIRST TIME!
ASIAN GAMES 2018
GRT is set to launch Indonesia’s first Trampoline Team at this weeks upcoming Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia!
ASIAN GAMES 2018 MASCOTS. The Energy of Asia lies in the diversity of it’s culture, heritage, and legacy. Atung is a Bawean deer (Hyelaphus Kuhlii) that represents speed. Kaka is a single-horned rhinoceros (Rhinoceros Sondaicus) that represents strength and Bhin Bhin is a bird of paradise (Paradisaea Apoda) that represent strategy. Also in correlation to Asian Games, each of these animals represents an aspect of the sport competition such as strategy, speed and power.
ASIAN GAMES 2018 HERE WE COME!
A few years ago we predicated trampoline parks would begin creating competitive teams. Many said it couldn’t be done, or shouldn’t be done…well they were wrong. We’ve done it now with the first men’s team in Jakarta Indonesia, in partnership with the Indonesian Gymnastics Association / Persani and Houbii Urban Adventure Park. People also claimed we were ‘crazy’ and only Freestyle and ONLY professional classical gym clubs had the knowledge to be able to create and develop competitive teams. We disagreed and we are now proud to announce that GRT is the first Official Head Coach of the National Indonesian Team. Trampoline mechanics are the same no matter if you are Freestyle or Traditional and we are fighting hard to show the world having two options depending on your personal taste is a better way to build a sport rather then only focusing on a small percentage of the population. Our other events such as GT Games and Flipcon are other alternatives but not the only way to bounce. We believe in creating options for flippers that never existed.
The Indonesian Team was chosen from Jakarta’s first trampoline competition hosted by Houbii a few months ago from a group of athletes who had a gymnastics background but very little trampoline experience. Trampoline is a very new sport to Indonesia and it has gained popularity very quickly over the past year due to trampoline parks popping up. The Freestyle Trampoline Association (FTA) partnered with Houbii two years ago to train their staff and set up safety protocols and they have embraced both the sport and the community as a whole. Through our partnership we have been able to create classes at their amazing park as well as both traditional and freestyle format events and competitions.
The demographics of Indonesia is such that they are primed for a new sport that creates a culture of fun, education and fitness. At the FTA, we have always believed that trampoline parks and garden trampolines could allow more athletes to enter the trampoline market then the very limited traditional Olympic stream.
MEET THE TEAM

Our talented young team of 3 men have worked extremely hard over the past 3 months to learn their routines and be set to showcase to the world that Indonesia is here to stay. Congratulations to our Team (from left to right) Indonesian Coach Lulu Manurung, Yudha Tri Aditya, Head Coach Greg Roe, Dimas Sindhu Aji and Calvin Ponco Ayaga on their efforts and hard work!
We wish them the best of luck when they compete for the first time on August 30, 2018.
HOUBII AS AN OFFICIAL TRAINING CENTER
Houbii has been named the official training center of the Indonesian Mens Trampoline Team. They partnered with GRT to train the athletes and have provided the facility for them to prepare for the Games.
